Teacher

Sander van Geloven, 2^nd dan Aikikai, is the teacher and founder of Sanshinkai Aikido Utrecht. He started out in 1994 with Henk van Duin, 4^th dan Aikikai, and has developed himself thoroughly in the system of Masatomi Ikeda shihan, 7^th dan Aikikai. Since 2008 he is a student of Michele Quaranta sensei, 6^th dan Aikikai.

Sander participates every year in many international seminars and summer schools by mainly Michele Quaranta sensei but also by Francesco Marrella sensei, Pasquale Aiello sensei, Domenico Zucco sensei, all are 6^th dan Aikikai, and Jelena Vrzić sensei, who is 5^th dan Aikikai. Often these trainings are being led by two or more of the aforementioned sensei. Occasionally he also attends seminars by Hiroshi Tada shihan, 9^th dan Aikikai. He also travels frequently to Japan to study aikido and Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryu.
